The Voices in Our Heads is an audiobook narration company, specializing in duo narration. We offer proofing services, and sound and video creation and support. As founders of TVIOH, Melanie Mason and Haley Richter have over 50 years of combined audio/video production and voiceover/narration experience. We can provide casting, directing, narration, editing, as well as partnering in promotion.

About Us

holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in performance and a Master of Science in Information Science with a Graduate Academic Certificate in storytelling. Her expertise is bringing characters to life, either through performance or direction.

 

For more than 20 years she has worked in the performance and voice over industry in the southwest, including commercials, audio books, documentaries, tours, industrials, film, and anime. She is currently the voice of E. J. Steven’s “Ivy Granger, Psychic Detective.” You can also hear her as “Marl” in Funimation’s “Fairy Tail” and “Mrs. Shimura” in “Kodocha.”

 

As Audio Producer/Director, she’s responsible for casting and directing. Melanie works side by side with a wonderful team of talented professionals who give clients a “Big time sound experience and small town customer service with a smile. Audio professionals that want to tell your story.”

She is passionate about literature and storytelling. Melanie’s perspective is unique because she has experience with all aspects of analyzing, developing and capturing a performance; from teaching, coaching, acting, and directing, to casting, writing, and even the recording of a character.

HALEY RICHTER, BA
Co-Founder

holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies as well as Radio and Television from Washburn University.  Her proficiency is in facilitating the development of projects from conception to delivery. For more than twenty-one years she has worked as a video editor for Aries Productions. As such, she boasts mad skills in AVID Media composition, Apple Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, and many more comparable professional programs. She was the lead editor on the documentary series, “The Fearmakers,” as well as two films produced by Roger Corman, “Rumble in the Streets” (1997) and “The Protector” (1999).

Her skills do not stop at video editing, however, as Haley also has four years of experience as a production coordinator at Aries Productions. Here she oversaw booking and casting sessions, talent briefing and invoicing, and teleprompter among many other vital operations. She has worked on projects for companies both large and small, international and local, anywhere from Frito Lay and Wal-Mart to Texas Industries and Ashley Furniture Store.

Haley is detailed oriented and dedicated to producing the highest quality product for our customers.
